Quarry Bay Factory Fusion Dining - AGE Express Crusine

Lately, I have heard a lot of factories cafe/restaurant but never get a chance to make a visit. In Hong Kong, this is quite common as the rental is a disaster these days, and lots of restaurants couldn't afford so they decided to move into the industrial area. But these places seem unrevealed unless you work near around or it is told by friends.

Last week my bae and I went to this fusion restaurant AGE Cuisine Express located 5-7 minutes from Taikoo MTR. That was a showery typhoon day but we had a contented meal.

Perhaps some people think the industrial building is not a very pleasant place to dine, which I think it depends on management.

Here is the decorative door for your reference, it's clean and bright, although it seems quiet. It was Tuesday so I assume it should've been crowded during the day.

The staff arranged us to sit around the corner, with the European style wall painting at the back.

Spanish Ham Salad for appetizer. We expected this dish would be right enough for two and apparently turned up with a big plate took up half of the table. Ham and Arugula have separated taste. Those little brown seeds on the ham are actually truffle oil, very aromatic combination.

The Arugula salad is covered with the vinaigrette, slightly acidic and refreshing before we go main.

The other dish my bae likes, Live Blue Mussel Seared with Garlic. This one is absolutely for two compares to the salad. But the mussels are fresh and soft. Garlic always gives evocative flavour. The soup down is delicious and you can really taste the richness of all the mussels.

And third dishes we had is this Patatas Bravas. It's my first time to try so I am not sure if my bae is right about the salad is unusually served, possibly he is right.

Anyway, I think the veggie isn't adding flavor, perhaps indeed unnecessary.

Portion is fine for two as it's quite filling. The cubes are quite soft, unsure if that's because of the sauce. For me, I prefer crispy. And possibly need to work on the sauce presentation as it's a little watery.

There is always a saying that the dessert can tell how good the dinner would be, so I decided to go for this tiramisu but didn't expect that it would have served in a plastic bowl lol.

Apparently, this can do better.

Anyway, I personally think this tiramisu is too much for a dessert, enough to share with others if you only want to have something sweet to sum up. The taste is fine, and as a coffee lover I would like to have it more bitter.
